Ajay and amit are standing on opposite end of 650m long bridge. if they walk toward each other at the rate of 5m per minute and 8m per minute then in how much time will they meet

According the question total distance between Ajay and Amit =650m

Ajay walks towards Amit = at the rate of 5m per minute       ( given)

Amit walks towards Ajay = 8m per minute                               ( given)

∴ Relative speed = ( 5 + 8) m/minute= 13m/ minute

Now we have to calculate, total time taken to meet each other = (total distance ) ÷ ( relative speed)

= (650 ÷ 13) = 50 minutes

Ans :- After 50 minutes Ajay and Amit will meet each other.
