Solution

Given :-

  • Cost of some veggies ,
  • 1kg beetroot costs ₹ 200
  • 1kg peas costs ₹ 150
  • 1kg tomato costs ₹70
  • 1kg carrot costs ₹ 40
  • 1/2kg(half kg) potato costs ₹ 40

  • ajay gave 1/4(one fourth)of the amount of veggies
  • vijay gave 3/4(three fourth)of the amount of veggies.

Find :-

  • Amount given by Ajay & Vijay .

Explanation

First Calculate total cost of veggies ,

==> Total cost of veggies = ( cost of 1kg beetroot) + ( cost of 1 kg peas ) + ( cost of 1kg tomato ) + ( cost of 1 kg carrot ) + ( cost of 1/2 kg potato )

==> Total cost of veggies = (200 + 150 + 70 + 40 + 40)

==> Total cost of veggies = Rs. 500

So, Now calculate amount given by both buyer ,

According to question,

( ajay gave 1/4(one fourth)of the amount of veggies)

==> Amount of ajay = ( Cost of total veggies ) × 1/4

==> Amount of Ajay = 500 × 1/4

==> Amount of veggies = Rs. 125

Again,

(vijay gave 3/4(three fourth)of the amount of veggies.)

==> Amount of Vijay = ( cost of total veggies ) × 3/4

==> Amount of Vijay = 500 × 3/4

==> Amount of Vijay = 125 × 3

==> Amout of Vijay = Rs 375 .

Hence

  • Amount given by Vijay = Rs 375
  • Amout given by Ajay = Rs 125 .
