Total cost price for Ajay = 1200+40 = 1240

Selling Price = 1550

Profit % =

 \frac{profit}{cost} \times 100

 \frac{1550 - 1240}{1240} \times 100

 \frac{310}{1240} \times 100

= 25%

Solutions :-

Given :
Cost of scooter = Rs 1,200
Spend on Repairing = Rs 40
Total cost price = Rs (1200 + 40) = Rs 1240

Selling price of scooter = Rs 1550

Selling price is greater than the Cost price. Therefore, Profit.

Profit = (S.P - C.P)
= Rs (1550 - 1240)
= Rs 310

Profit % = (profit × 100)/C.P %
= (310 × 100)/1240 %
= 31000/1240 %
= 25 %

Hence,
The profit percentage = 25%
