⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

25% loss on one cycle .

So,the profit amount = loss amount.

Hence,there is no profit or loss.

Given:-

  • Ajay sells two cycles of ₹2500 each.
  • He makes a profit of 250%
  • He incurs a loss of 25%

To Find:-

  • Net Profit?
  • Loss Percent?

Solution:-

S.P. of 1st cycle = ₹2500

Profit = 25%

So,

S.P. = CP \tt (\dfrac{1 + x}{100})

2500 = CP \tt (\dfrac{1 + 25}{100})

2500 = CP \tt (\dfrac{125}{100})

C.P. = \tt \cancel\dfrac{2500 × 100}{125}

C.P. = \tt\dfrac{500 × 4}{1}

C.P. = 2000/-

Loss = 25%

S.P. = C.P. \tt(\dfrac{1 - x}{100})

2500 = CP \tt(\dfrac{1 - 25}{100})

2500 = CP \tt(\dfrac{125}{100})

C.P. = \tt\cancel\dfrac{2500 × 100}{75}

= 3333.33 Rs.

So,

Total C.P. = 2000 + 3333.33

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀= 5333.33

Total S.P. = 2500 + 2500 = 5000

So,

Overall loss:-

= \sf\dfrac{CP - SP}{CP} \times 100

  \sf   = \dfrac{5333.33 - 5000}{5333.33} \times 100

= 6.25%

⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

Learn More:-

 \tt \: S.P.  > C.P.

 \tt \: Gain  \: or \:  Profit = Selling  \: Price - Cost \:  Price

 \tt \: Gain\% =  \dfrac{Gain} { CP} \times 100 \%

 \tt \: Loss = C.P. - SP

 \tt \: Loss \% =  \dfrac{Loss} { CP} \times 100 \%
