This question will be solved through the product of the mean and the product of the extreme terms.
Solution-
Used to save money = Rs. 8400
Decreased ration = 6:5
New saving = x
6 : 5 :: 8400 : x
Product of the mean terms = 5 × 8400 = 42000
Product of the extreme terms = 6 × x
x = 42000 ÷ 6
x = 7000
Ajit's monthly saving will be Rs. 7000 now.
