The amount he would get back = Rs [500-(113.20 + 152.25)] = Rs [500 - 265.45] = Rs 234.55 = 234 rupees and 55 paise

Mathematically it is correct but practically it is impossible in terms of cash exchange.

HOPE THIS COULD HELP!!!

Given,

Akash bought a Math book for ₹113 and 20 paise

He bought English book for ₹152 and 25 paise

Akash gave ₹500 note the shopkeeper.

let the money returned byshopkeeper be x

According to the problem,

500 - (113.20 + 152.25) = x

500 - 265.45 = x

x = 234.55

Therefore, the shopkeeper returns ₹234 and 55 paise.
