Inspite of having the court of ministers, chroniclers, poets, musicians and advisors, the Hindu Rajput kings were given high ranking positions due to the following reasons:
∆ This country was mostly known by Hindu Rajput kings.
∆ In order to enlarge his militant force
∆ To get the help of those rulers if a war breaks out.
∆ If he ( Akbar ) wouldn't have provided high rankings to the Hindu Rajput kings, he wouldn't have got their support and power.
