Hey mate, As we know that he will get 1 ice cream free for every 5 ice creams this means, on one go he has 6 ice creams. If he buys the same for 12 times he will end up with 72 ice creams. So the actual ice creams that he pays for are 60 ice creams.

Answer:

He need to buy 60 ice creams .

Step-by-step explanation:

For every 5 ice creams he buys,he gets one free

So, He gets total 6 ice creams for every 5 ice creams

Akshat needs 72 ice creams for a party.

So, He get no. of free ice creams = \frac{72}{6}=12

So, number of ice creams he need to buy = No. of ice creams need to buy - no. of free ice creams

So, number of ice creams he need to buy = 72-12=60

Hence he need to buy 60 ice creams .
