Let the number of 2 rupee coin be x
Let the number of 5 rupee coins be y
ATQ:
x + y = 80. -eq 1
Total Price of x 2 rupee coins = 2x
Total Price of y 5 rupee coins = 5y
So,
2x + 5y( Total price) = 220. -eq 2
By eq 1
x = 80 - y
Substituting value of x in eq 2 we get
2(80 - y) + 5y = 220
160 - 2y + 5y = 220
3y = 60
y =60/3
y = 20
Substituting value of y in eq 1 we get
x + 20 = 80
x = 60
Hence, there are 60 of 2 rupee coins and 20 of 5 rupee coins
