Akshil drove his car with speed of 30km/h while going to his college. When he returned to his home along the same route the speed of the car is 20km/h dues to crowded road. Calculate the average speed of the car during the entire journey

to remove the average we should divide the total speed that is 50 km/h divide by 2 as there are 2 different speeds.

speed 1 = 30km/h;

speed 2 = 20km/h;

average = total speed / numbers of speeds ( 2 );

therefore:

                      (30+20)/2

                    = 50/2

                    = 25km/h

so, 25km/h is the average speed of the car during the entire journey.
