Al biruni came to India in 4 September 973 – 9 December 1048

in the region polymath from Khwarezm — a region which encompasses modern-day western Uzbekistan, and northern Turkmenistan.

"Al – Biruni" was one of the most famous scholars who visited India, he visited India on the 11th century.

EXPLANATION:

He was from Khwazam which is the present day Uzbekistan. He spent much of his life in "Ghazni" which is the capital of the "Ghaznavid dynasty". He also authored the study of Indian culture and was very enticed by Hinduism and the way it was practiced in India.

He was an impartial writer on the customs, caste and creed and he was also awarded for his impeccable description of Hindustan.
