(b) Gas > liquid > solid

➡️ That's the decreasing order of of diffusion in substance that is from most easily e diffusible substance to the least one.

Additional points

  • The molecules of gas are are totally free from any kind of strong forces hence the molecular interaction is very less between them and intercellular spaces are more so they easily diffuse.

  • The particle of liquid are much closer to each other than gases particles but are comparatively far when compared with that of solid hence they occupy the second position in case of diffusion.

  • Now the last and the least diffusing substances are solids. They have strong molecular interaction between the particles and they are held so tight that they cannot move easily from one place to another like that of gases and liquid particles hence diffusion is quite low in them.
