We need to get rid of plastic bags from our lives. For the past few years, there has been a nsing awareness
about the use of plastic bags in the world. Some governments like Bangladesh, Bhutan and Zanzibar have
decided to ban them. China has decided that shops will not give plastic bags free Germany, South Afnea,
Ireland and Israel have added a surcharge. In India too some state governments have banned the use of
plastic bags
Yet another area that we need to pay attention to is the decreasing green cover. Trees produce oxygen, which
human beings need, by taking in carbon dioxide in the presence of sunlight. There are some types of trees
and plants that help absorb more carbon dioxide and other harmful gases than others. Grasses fill a gap in
places where there isn't enough rain for large trees to grow. Grasses not only hold the top soil but they also
absorb a lot of carbon dioxide. A large patch of grass can absorbs more carbon dioxide than a few trees.
The toxic gas that petrol run vehicles and air planes emit is a great cause of air pollution. Governments are
spending large sums of money on research to come up with an alternative for the petroleum based fuels that
we use today
