Given : Alandra's rectangular cake pan is 33 cm by 23 cm. She has enough batter to fill it to depth of 3 cm.

Alexandra want to pour the batter into ice cream cones. She plans to fill each cone to a depth of 9 cm with a diameter of 4 cm

To Find : How many whole cones can Alandra fill?

Solution:

rectangular cake pan is 33 cm by 23 cm

batter to fill it to depth of 3 cm.

Volume of Batter = 33 x 23 x 3  cm³

cone depth of 9 cm with a diameter of 4 cm

=> radius = 4/2 = 2 cm

Volume of Cone = (1/3)πr²h

= (1/3)π2²x9

= 12π cm³

Number of cones  =  33 x 23 x 3  /  12π

= 60.4

61 cones required

60 whole cones can be filled
