Alay was going to buy a tungsten filament bulb. His son Raj told not to buy that bulb. Tungsten filament bulb consumes more power because it makes more heat than light and about 90% of the energy consumed just makes heat.

3. How CFLs create pollution?

CFLs contain 3–5 mg of mercury and mercury is poisonous for landfills and waste incinerators where it gets released and contributes to air and water pollution.
