The ratio of number of days taken by Albert, Bijoy and Cherry respectively, when they work  individually is 1:3:6.

Step-by-step explanation:

It is given that,

Albert is thrice as efficient as Bijoy

So, Ratio of efficiency of Albert & Bijoy = 3:1

And,

Cherry is twice as efficient as Bijoy

So, Ratio of efficiency of Cherry & Bijoy = 2:1

The ratio of the efficiency of Albert, Bijoy & Cherry will be = (3*2) : (1*2) : (1*1) = 6:2:1

We know that efficiency is inversely proportional to the time taken to complete a work i.e.,

Efficiency ∝ [\frac{1}{Time Taken}]

Thus,

The ratio of the number of days taken by Albert, Bijoy and Cherry to complete the work individually is,

= [1/6] : [1/2] : [1]

multiplying throughout by the L.C.M = 6

= [(1/6) * 6] : [(1/2)*6] : [1*6]

= 1 : 3 : 6
