The compound obtained  will be Isobutane.

Explanation:

  • The alkaline hydrolysis of occurs as follows:-

C_{2}H_{5}-N-C=O->C_{2}H_{5}-NH_{2}

  • Treatment with t-butyl magnesium bromide

C_{2}H_{5}NH_{2}+(CH_{3})_{3}-C-MgBrCH_{3}-CH+MgBrNHC_{2}H_{5}.

  • Hence, by hydrolysis of C_{2}H_{5}-N-C=O , it forms aminobenzene.
  • When aminobenzene is treated with t-butyl magnesium bromide, the compound yield will be Isobutane.
  • Isobutane is used generally in the refinaries as gasoline-petrol-additive.It is commonly used as refrigerant and propellant.Feed stock for plastics .It is also a solvent.It is used to manufacture propylene oxide for use in making polyurethane plastics.
