Alex, Ben, Charles and Dylan have an average of $96. The total amount Alan and Dylan have is $28 more than Ben and Charles. If Charles has $59, how much does Ben have?

x+y+z+s=96*4=384

.: y=384-(x+s)…… (1)

again,

x+s-28=y+z

.:y=x+s-87 {z=59}…………(2)

equating 1 and 2

x+s=471/2

using equation 2 we get

y= $148.5

hence, Ben get $148.5.
