Alex Cmabric, Former senior vice president of human resources for Semins International, took over her job just after numerous charges forced the company’s previous board of Directors and top executives to leave the firm. Hired by new CEO Ansar Ahmed, Alex had to tackle numerous difficult problems starting the moment he assumed office. For example, he had to help hire a new management team. He had to do something about what the out-side world viewed as a culture of questionable ethics at his company. And he had to do something about the company’s top-management compensation plan, which many felt contributed to the allegations by some that some former company officers had used the company as a sort of private ATM. Alex came to Semins after a very impressive career. For example, he had been head of executive compensation at Allied Signal, and was a graduate of the London School of Business. But As a strong as his background was, he obviously had his work cut out for his when he took the senior vice president of HR position at Semins. Answer the following discussion questions: 1. Elaborate what HR procedure would Alex take to achieve his desired goal for keeping Semins at its right path? 2. Being a HR specialist what do you the steps taken by Alex would give best result? If yes then give some proper reasoning or vice versa 3. Suggest some appropriate HR techniques which can cause the development of Semins Internationals 4. Do you it is necessary for an organization to create their human resources into competitive advantages? Using equity theory and Justice Theory as a framework, explain how a person can experience inequity because he or she is paid too much. What are the potential outcomes of this situation?
