Distance Alex covered = 700 + 300 + 400 + 600 + 1200 + 300 + 100

= 3600 m = 3 km 600 m

Here the distance will be the sumission of the length of path the car travelled.

So the total distance travelled =

(700+300+400+600+1200+300+100) m

= 3600 m =3.6 km

Distance is the product of speed and time.

Speed is the Displacement caused per unit time.
