Given :-

Alex is building a rectangular rabbit enclosure for his pet rabbit. The enclosure measures 15 m by 5m.

To Find :-

Fence needed

Solution :-

Fence needed = Perimeter of rectangle

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(l + b)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(15 + 5)

Perimeter of rectangle = 2(20)

Perimeter of rectangle = 40 m

Therefore,

40 m of fence is needed

Know More :-

Area of rectagle = L × B

Diagonal of Rectangle = √(l² + b²)

Length = Area/Breadth

Breadth = Area/Length

Perimeter = 2(l + b)

Given :

  • The measure of Enclosure = 15 m by 5 m

To find :

  • how much fence does he need for the enclosure

Steps :

  • For finding how much fence is required, we have to find the Perimeter.

Solution :

⇒ Let's find the Perimeter.

Perimeter of Rectangle = (2 × l) + (2 × b)

                                       = (2 × 15) + (2 × 5)

                                       = (30) + (10)

                                       = 40 m

Therefore, 40 m of fence is required for rhe enclosure.
