Let,

  • Alexa shared 4x .

  • Antonio shared 3x .

  • Anika shared 2x .

Given that,

→ The price of the gift was Rs.1800

╰➝ 4x + 3x + 2x = Rs.1800

╰➝ 9x = Rs.1800

╰➝ x = 1800/9

╰➝ x = 200

\bf\orange{Therefore,}

  • Alexa shared = 4x = 4 × 200 = Rs.800

  • Antonio shared = 3x = 3 × 200 = Rs.600

  • Anika shared = 2x = 2 × 200 = Rs.400

Given :-

Ratio of their savings = 4 : 3 : 2

Cost of the gift = Php. 1800

To Find :-

Share of Alexa.

Share of Antonio.

Share of Ankita.

Analysis :-

Consider the common ratio as a variable.

Multiply each other the share given in the equation to the variable.

Make an equation accordingly such that all their savings is equal to the cost of the gift.

Then find the value of the variable accordingly and substitute and find the savings.

Solution :-

Consider the common ratio as 'x'. Then their share would be 4x, 3x and 2x.

Given that,

Cost of the gift = Php. 1800

Making an equation,

4x + 3x + 2x = 1800

9x = 1800

x = 1800/9

x = 20

Finding their share,

4x = 4 × 20 = Php. 800

3x = 3 × 2000 = Php. 600

2x = 2 × 2000 = Php. 400

Therefore, the share of Alexa, Antonio, and Anika are Php. 800, Php. 600 and Php. 400 respectively.
