Last week:

$6800*11/100=$748

In 2011:

52 weeks

52*$748=$38 896

if you want to be more specific, then

365 days = 52 weeks and 1 day

1 day=1/7 week

so $748/7=$1060,85

$38 896+$106,85=$39 002,85

Given : Alexander  earns 12% commission each week

. Last week, he sold $6,800 worth of stocks

he averages that same amount each week

To Find : How much did he make last week in commission

how much did he make in commission in 2011?

Solution:

stocks sold worth =  $6,800

commission = 12 %

commission  = (12/100) 6800  =  816 $

he made commission in last week = 816 $

There are 52 weeks in a Year

Hence commission made in 2011  = 52 x 816

= 42,432 $
