AlF3 is a high melting solid where as SF4 is a gas?

AlF3 is a high melting solid as compared to the SiF4. This is because of the fact that AlF3 is an ionic solid in which electrostatic force of attraction are there so high melting point whereas in the SiF4 covalent bonding is present.
