----------------------------------------

Here is the solution:

----------------------------------------

Find the total cost of the scooter:

Total cost = 4700 + 800 = Rs 5500

Find the Gain:

Selling Price = Rs 5800

Gain = Selling Price - Total Cost

Gain = 5800 - 5500 = Rs 300

Find the gain percentage:

Gain Percentage = Gain/Cost x 100

Gain percentage = 300/5500 x 100 = 5.45%

Answer: The gain is 5.45%

cp of scooter =4700
rupees spend on repair=800
actual cp=
4700 + 800 =5500
sp of scooter=5800
gain =sp
 sp  > cp
gain=sp-cp
5800-5500
gain=300

gain\% = gain \times 100\%  \div cp
300 \times 100 = 30000 \div 5500 = 5.45\%ans

ashajain93: Answer: Option C

Explanation:

Whenever we get this type of question, we should have formula in mind that,
Gain% = (gain/cost)*100

Cost = 4700 + 800 = Rs. 5500
S.P. = Rs. 5800

Profit = 5800 - 5500 = 300
Gain%=
300
5500

∗100 =5
5
11
