Alfred Nobel was a chemist, engineer, innovator,
armaments manufacturer and the inventor of
dynamite. When he realised that his discoveries
were used for developing destructive forces, he
repented. He used his enormous fortune to
institute in 1895 Nobel Prize which honours
men and women for outstanding achievements
in physics, chemistry, medicine, literature and
for work in peace.
