Answer:

-(x-1)(x+2)

Step-by-step explanation:

As in given expression, x - 1 - ( x - 1 )^2 + 4( 1 - x)

we see (x-1) is common

Rearrange the given expression as -

1(x - 1) - ( x - 1 )^2 - 4( x - 1)

Hence, taking out the common term (x-1),

we get -

(x-1)[ 1 - (x-1) - 4 ]

opening the inner bracket,

(x-1)(1 - x +1 -4)

Further simplifying -

(x-1)(-x-2)

Now taking - sign common from (-x-2)

we get ,

- (x-1)(x+2) as the answer.
