Answer :

x= 2

y = -1

z = 4

Step-by-step explanation:

so first we have an equation

x+y+z = 5

x = 5- y-z

now lets put it in 2nd equation

2x-y +z = 9

2(5-y-z) -y+z =9

10-3y- z= 9

z = 1- 3y

now lets put this value in value of x

= x = 5-y-z

= 5- y - ( 1-3y)

= 4 + 2y

so now lets put these values in equation 3

x- 2y+ 3z = 16

4 +2y - 2y +3(1 - 3y) = 16

7- 9y= 16

-9y = 9

y = -1

x= 4 + 2y

= 4 + 2(-1)

= 2

z = 1-3y

= 1- 3(-1)

= 4

So , First we have an equation :-

x + y + z = 5

x = 5 - y - z

Now , Let's put it in the second equation :-

2x - y + z = 9

2 ( 5 - y - z ) - y + z = 9

10 - 3y - z = 9

z = 1 - 3y

Now , Let's put this value in value of 'x' :-

x = 5 - y - z

5 - y - ( 1 - 3y )

4 + 2y

So now , let's put these values in equation 3 :-

x - 2y + 3z = 16

4 + 2y - 2y + 3 ( 1 - 3y ) = 16

7 - 9y = 16

- 9y = 9

y = - 1

x = 4 + 2y

= 4 + 2 ( - 1 )

= 2

z = 1 - 3y

= 1 - 3 ( - 1 )

= 4
