Algorithm to find roots of quadratic equation for real and imaginary roots
Answers
b^2 -4ac < 0 (the root are imaginary i.e NO REAL ROOTS)
b^2-4ac > 0 (the roots are real and distinct)
we find roots of quadratic equation by three methods
- Factorising a QE by splitting its middle term
- completing the square method
- Quadratic Formula
EX : 12x^2+13x+3=0
12x^2+9x+4x+3=0
3x(4x+3) + 1(4x+3)=0
(4x+3) (3x+1)=0
4x=-3 or 3x=-1
x=-3/4 or x=-1/3
these are the roots of the QE 12x^2+13x+3
