Ali displays qualities of love and patience. He loves his daughter to that extent for which he adopted a cheerless life. He quits his favorite pastime, that is, hunting after his daughter's departure from is life. Nevertheless, he visits the post office continuously for five years without any success of receiving his daughter's letter with full faith and complete patience.

according to my knowledge both of these values are the most important part of our life.
just as in the chapter 'the letter' the main character Ali played a great role in order to understand the values of love in the life by the help of his own passion 'hunting' in the same way we should also understand it and respect it at every places otherwise we too have to face the same challenges as ali.
on the other hand as ali waited five years in order to get the letter ,in the same manner we have to keep patience and wait for the results earnestly whatsoever we have done in our life.
