Ali knew that he was nearing the evening of his life, he had turned old and had led a cheerless life awaiting on a mere letter from his daughter. he gave five gold guineas to lakshmi das who was an employee at the post office asking him to deliver the letter to his grave. his patience had been exhausted but his faith was intact
