Family love and relatives are backbone of a human being; without them, we are blown like a single strand of straw in the gale of uncertainties of life. Ali was an unfortunate man. He had  just a daughter to depend upon in his family. He had never imagined in the wildest of his fancies his daughter, Miriam would thus leave him in lurch in his old age. His life had been going on smoothly until the day she eloped with her lover to Punjab. Ali's life changed dramatically towards the evening of his life.  He became a very serious and sensitive man. He gave up hunting, and his heart became sensitive to omnipresent love and the pain involved in it. His only purpose of life was now to receive a letter from his daughter. He died waiting for it. Thus in the absence of his daughter, the only family member, he became forlorn, lonely, hopeless, depressed, and dejected and devoid of all desire to live any further. It is quite true that love and relationships provide stability and purpose to our life.
