Ali was a sharp shooter, clever shikari who has a boundless faith and love towards his beloved daughter Miriam. After his daughter's departure to the Punjab Regiment , he experienced the empty nest syndrome(Loneliness) and goes to the post office religiously in the hope of receiving a letter from her daughter. He used to sit in a particular place at particular corner in the veranda, asking the postman for his letter. The postman, clerks used to ridicule him by just calling his name the COACHMAN ALI and enjoyed the sadistic pleasure they got from his name, and after a few days, when Ali asked about his letter's status to the Postmaster, who was in a hurry, "What a pest you are brother" he exclaimed, without understanding his feelings. After few days when Ali didn't turn up to the post office no body bothered ask about him, and the time passed on, but after a few days he came to the handsome building with a quantum leap, this time he wanted to close the deal, and so he found a nearby clerk Lakshmi Das and emptied 5 golden guineas from the box into his hand and ordered him to deliver his letter in his grave, and told that he was giving him this in the presence of Allah.
THIS WAS HIS LAST WISH-Wish of receiving his beloved daughter Miriam letter
