Given :- Alicia is in charge of sending out party invitations. The invitations come in packs of 12 and the envelopes come in packs of 15. What is the least amount of product Alicia will have to purchase in order to have the same number of invitations and envelopes with none left over ?

Answer :-

=> The invitations come in packs of = 12

and,

=> The envelopes come in packs of = 15

so, in order to find the least amount of product Alicia will have to purchase in order to have the same number of invitations and envelopes with none left over will be LCM of 12 and 15 .

prime factors of 12 and 15 :-

→ 12 = 2 * 2 * 3

→ 15 = 3 * 5

then,

→ LCM = 2 * 2 * 3 * 5 = 60 .

therefore, Least amount Alicia will have to purchase is 60 .
