When you are changing an indirect speech into direct speech, the speaker’s comment will be inside inverted commas.
There will be exclamation marks too, if needed.
The sentence doesn’t seem like it has been reported by a different person but have come straight out of the mouth of the speaker.
The direct speech here will be- Alka said, “I am very clever!”
