Given :

Present age of Alka is 4 times the present age of her son and 4/7 of present age of her father .

The average of present ages of all three = 32 years

To Find :

Difference between the Alka's son’s present age and Alka's father’s present age= ?

Solution :

Let present age of her son = x yrs

Present age of Alka = 4x yrs

Present age of her father = 7x yrs

Now the average of ages of all three :

Avg = \frac{x + 4x + 7x }{3}

Or, 32 = \frac{12x}{3}

So, x = 8

So, the difference between ages of her son and her father :

= 7x - x years

= 6x years

= 48 years

Hence , there is a difference  of 48 yrs between her son and father age .
