Alkali (A) is formed as one of the by products of chlor alkali process.Identify A. What type of
reaction takes place when A reacts with a non metallic oxide. Write an equation for one such
reaction. ​

2NaCl(aq)+2H2O(l)--->2NaOH(aq)+H2+Cl2

Chor alkali process reaction(refer above image for more information)

A is NaOH, which is base soluble in water.

When base react with nonmetallic oxide salt and water is formed which is neutralisation reaction.

Eg: Ca(OH)2+CO2--->CaCo3+H2O
