The nitrobenzen does not undergo alkylation process.

The reason behind the phenomenon is that the nitrobenzeen has a strong electron withdrawing group. The very strong electron withdrawing capability of nitrobenzen comes from the presence of nitro group.

As already known that  that alkyle groups are not a very good reactive electrophiles, it will no longer go react with the nitrobenzene.
