The biggest example of it is table sugar. In fact it has 22 hydrogen atoms ( C16H22O11 ). But it does not produce H+ ions when dissolved in water. So sugar does not turn blue litmus red and does not taste sour.

The given statement is true.

Substances carrying hydrgon ion doesn't says that they are actually acids.

Like :

Glucose ( C6H12O6 )

Its formula clearly says that it have hydrogen ions. But these are not acids.

As they don't produce Hydrogen aqurois ion in solution.

Ethanol is also one of the compund which have hydrogen ion but still it is not an acid.
