- The cells of the body are genetically similar as they contains the same DNA. However, in multicellular organisms like us, there is a phenomenon called differential gene activity and cellular differentiation. In this process, the cells of the body get specialised for a particular function. This is called division of labour and this is to reduce a load on body cells.
