All dead animals do not leave their fossils records, but in some cases they are fossils are formed. How do these fossil records form a direct evidence of parts happenings?

When any animal or living thing dies, due to air, water and land condition the soil nearby will go on them and the animal will be buried. Same applies in the underground ocean also. This is how fossil fuels are formed then.
