All equilateral triangles are isosceles but not all isosceles triangles are equilateral. Why?

Answer:

It's because in equilateral triangle, all sides are equal which satisfies with isosceles triangle whose two of its sides are equal.

This is not possible in the other case

because in isosceles triangle two side and two angle must be same

but in equilateral triangle all the side and angle are same
