no. of total cards=52
no. of facecards = 12
therefore no of remaining cards =52-12=40

a)p(having an ace card)=4/40=1/10=0.1
b)p(black card)=20/40=1/2=0.5
c)p(spade card)=10/40=1/4=0.25

Answer:

The probability that the card drawn is an ace card =0.1

The probability that the card drawn is a black card =0.5

The probability that the card drawn is a spade card =0.25

Step-by-step explanation:

Total no. of total cards=52

No. of face cards = 12

No. of remaining cards =52-12=40

a) the probability that the card drawn is an ace card

No. of ace cards = 4

So, probability of that the card drawn is an ace card = \frac{4}{40}=\frac{1}{10} =0.1

b) the probability that the card drawn is a black card

No. of Black cards  = 26

Six face cards are removed

No. of black cards remaining = 36-6=20

So, probability of that the card drawn is black card = \frac{20}{40}=\frac{1}{2} =0.5

c)the probability that the card drawn is a spade card

No. of spade cards  = 13

three face cards are removed

No. of black cards remaining = 13-3=10

So, probability of that the card drawn is spade card = \frac{10}{40}=\frac{1}{4} =0.25
