Question :

All face cards of diamonds are removed from the deck of 52 cards. One card is drawn from the remaining cards. The probability that the card drawn is diamond is ?

Answer :

Total number of cards in deck = 52

Total cards in Diamond = 13

Face cards = { jack,Queen,King }

Total cards after removing the face cards in deck = ( 52 - 3 )

= 49

Toral number of diamonf Cards after removing face cards = ( 13 - 3 )

= 10

probablity \: of \: card \: drawn \: as \: diamond =  \frac{remaining \: diamond \: cards}{remaining \: cards}

probablity \: of \: diamond \: card \: drawn =  \frac{10}{49}

Total number of cards in deck = 52

Total cards in Diamond = 13

Face cards = { jack,Queen,King }

Total cards after removing the face cards in deck = ( 52 - 3 )= 49

Toral number of diamonf cards after removing face cards = ( 13 - 3 )= 10

probablity of card drawn as diamond = {remaining diamond cards}/ {remaining cards}

Therefore , probablity of card drawn as diamond= 10/49
