Trigonometrical ratios are defined as the ratios between any two given sides of a right angled triangle i.e. a triangle having one of its angles measuring to 90 °.

There six trigonometrical ratios, which are mentioned as follows :
1. sine ( abbreviated as sin ) of any angle = Perpendicular / Hypotenuse

2. cosine ( abbreviated as cos ) of any angle = Base / Hypotenuse

3. tangent ( abbreviated as tan ) of any angle = Perpendicular / Base

4. cosecant ( abbreviated as cosec ) of any angle = Hypotenuse / Perpendicular

5. secant ( abbreviated as sec ) of any angle = Hypotenuse / Base

6. cotangent ( abbreviated as cot ) of any angle = Base / Perpendicular

Answer:

  • Pythagorean theorem:
  1. (P)² + (B)² = (H)²
  • The trigonometric properties are given below:
  1. sin A = p/h
  2. cos A = b/h
  3. tan A = p/b
  4. cosec A = h/p
  5. sec A = h/b
  6. tan A = b/p
  • Relation between trigonometric identities:
  1. tan A = sin A/cosA
  2. cot A = cos A/sin A
  3. cosec A = 1/sin A
  4. sec A = 1/cos A
  • Reciprocal relations:
  1. cosec A = 1/sin A
  2. sec A = 1/cos A
  3. cot A = 1/tan A
  4. sin A = 1/cosec A
  5. cos A = 1/sec A
  6. tan A = 1/cot A
  • Trigonometric formulas (square law formulas):
  1. sin²A + cos²A = 1
  2. tan²A = 1+sec²A
  3. cot²A = 1+cosec²A

i hope it helps
