Fractions with the same denominator (bottom number) are called like fractions.


This can be a set of proper fractions, improper fractions or both.


Addition or subtraction of like fractions is very easy compared to other types of fractions. All you have to do is just do the required operation with the numerator numbers and write the result above the common denominator.
