IT IS NOT TRUE BECAUSE SOME PLANTS HAVE PARASITIC MODE OF NUTRITION. EXAMPLE- CUSCUTA PLANT.

Autotrophs are those organisms who produce their food on their own. Green plants produce their own food except those who are insectivorous.

Insectivorous plants genrally trap the insects and consume them. In very rare cases,(only those who could perform photosynthesis) these plants produce food on their own only when they don't have a catch of a prey.
