Answer:

Human beings do aspire for happiness but only to a certain extent. They do undertake some actions to achieve happiness. But one cannot say that all the actions of human beings are driven by a sense of achieving happiness. Most of the actions are driven by a greater purpose and higher values. For instance, a soldier does not kill enemies for happiness but for a higher value called patriotism. A fireman does not risks his life in fire for happiness, but he does it out of sense of duty. One would argue that the soldier and fireman would eventually get happiness, but it must be remembered that the purpose of their actions is not happiness. Happiness is merely a byproduct.

Happiness may mean different things to different people. For me, happiness means a morning walk in a garden and the exercise that follows. Happiness for me also means reading a novel. Thus feeling fresh, mentally as well as physically!
