All I think about, when I’m with friends is having a good time. I can’t bring

myself to talk about anything but ordinary everyday things. We don’t seem to be

able to get any closer, and that’s the problem. Maybe it’s my fault that we don’t

confide in each other. In any case, that’s just how things are, and unfortunately

they’re not liable to change. This is why I’ve started the diary.

(a) ‘And that’s the problem’. What is the problem referred to here?

(b) Why did Anne start writing a diary?

(c) Find the synonym of trust from the passage.

(d) Why did she not get closer to her friends?​

a. Anne couldn't get closer with her friends.

b.  Anne started writing diary because she didn't have any real friends to share her feelings.

c. Confide is the synonym of trust

d.  She could no0t get closer to her friends because she could not bring herself to talk anything other than the ordinary every day things.
