So long has you have no intention of committing an illegal act, entering such an agreement is not illegal.
For example, we might sign a contract where you give me $100 in exchange for me driving on the wrong side of the road of a day. Such a contract would be void because it stipulates an illegal act, but in and of itself would not be illegal to enter into.
